Leisure Time Filter Clean (32 fl oz)

I have owned hot tubs for over 25 years so very experienced in filter care. I was not aware that this cleaner has 2 different types of acid. I have bought leisure time filter cleaner before and it must have been different. I only became aware after my fingers started to sting and I looked at the back of the bottle to look at the ingredients and it still doesn't say the official ingredients but makes statement in very small font the it contains sulfuric and hydrochloric acid.This product burned my finger tips and I am still recovering. I now have small cuts on most fingertips and having a hard time keeping them lubricated as I need to use my hands! It's been over a week and I am a nurse. Please be careful.Perhaps they could put a better warning on the front of the bottle. Skull and crossbones comes to mind instead of Danger at the bottom of the bottle under "keep out of reach of children" Or put it in red lettering.It did a great job cleaning the filters though. Include the ingredients on the front of the bottle. Even on Leisure Time's official website it does not give you the ingredients!

This stuff is great. The instructions said it wasn't necessary to wash the DE off my quads but I spent ten minutes cleaning them anyway. If you don't want to wash the DE off your filter elements, well, don't. I poured the contents into a cleaned, good size trash can and filled it full of water, I put all four of my filter elements in for 24 hours, turned them over and left them for another day. They looked as clean as new.

I used this once and after a week or so I noticed the water was foggy and really foamy. I noticed a funny smell too, not the normal chlorine smell. It was the same smell as the filter cleaner. Had to drain the tub and use a different filter. I would suggest just using a hose to clean the filter and replacing every 6 months.

Love this stuff. Used it in my pool filter over night. Worked amazinf
