It fits J-460 models built between 2006 and 2012, and J-465 models built in 2006 and 2007 specifically — J-465 spas manufactured in 2009 or later switched to the longer #2540-387 cartridge (4-3/4" diameter x 12-1/2" length), so this listing is not a match for those newer units.
This cartridge uses Jacuzzi's blind-end ProClear II design, built to fit under the ProPolish bag systems used on compatible J-400 Collection spas. Its pleated media provides 25 square feet of filtration area, capturing debris, body oils, and other contaminants to keep spa water clear while reducing strain on the pump. The cartridge measures 4.75" in diameter and 8" in length, with a 2.375" threaded opening at its base.
Installation is straightforward: power down the spa, remove the old cartridge from the filter housing, and thread the new 2540-384 into place. Rinse the cartridge with a garden hose between uses and soak it in a filter cleaner solution monthly to remove oils and lotions that a simple rinse won't clear.
