Product Overview
The Jacuzzi®/Sundance® Flow Switch with Transparent Tee (part #6560‑857) is an OEM safety component for one‑pump spa systems built from June 1999 through 2004 (this part excludes 2001+ Capri models). It mounts inline on the plumbing between the pump and heater, and its clear housing lets you visually confirm water is moving through the line without disassembling anything—a quick way to rule out a flow problem when the heater won't fire.
Inside, the switch activates only when it senses adequate water flow, which is what allows the heater to run; without that signal, the heater stays off rather than risking a dry‑fire burnout. It connects with a ¾″ barbed inlet/outlet and a ⅜″ side tube sized for standard heater plumbing, and it's rated for low‑voltage operation (30 VAC/60 VDC), switching at 0.5 Amp and 10 W. The body is built from durable, corrosion‑resistant plastic and copper for long service life in a wet environment.
Installation is a simple twist‑out, twist‑in swap: the old switch backs out of the spa shell assembly and the new one plugs directly into the same fitting, with no cutting or rewiring required. If your spa is throwing a flow or heater error and the plumbing itself is clear, a worn or failed flow switch like this one is one of the most common culprits.
